Barcelona get a shirt sponsor at last. Well, not quite

Barcelona are to have a logo emblazoned across the front of their shirt for the first time in their 107-year history. But the Catalan giants haven't sold out just yet - the logo belongs to children's charity Unicef.

Barca president 'Saint' Joan Laporta said - in Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue stylee - that they don't mind doing it for the kids. "It's an initiative with soul. Barca can help the children of the world. It's an historic moment as it is a prestigious logo and not just a publicity brand," he said.

The European champions will start wearing the new shirts from Tuesday. A sponsor more to Fredi Kanoute's taste, perhaps.
