FIFA world rankings given a much needed shake-up

One of the things Germany 2006 should be most fondly remembered for is getting the FIFA world rankings in some sort of order. The rankings for July actually bear some semblance to reality.

Down the ladder slide the over-inflated USA, Mexico and Czech Republic. Italy move up 11 places to number two, Germany move up 10, England edge up five places, Argentina rise by six places and Ghana leap a massive 23 places.
