Businesses to be fined £1,000 for watching the World Cup online without a TV licence - stick to the Bratwurst live blogs!

The spoil-sports at TV Licensing are threatening to target firms whose workers are watching World Cup matches online without a licence. Businesses could face a £1,000 if employees are accessing the BBC's online streaming.

A TV Licensing spokesman (who sounds like the life and soul of any party) said: "We know exactly which unlicensed business premises to target. It doesn't matter how you're watching, if you are watching a live match you will need a licence."
