Let the crazy tabloid antics commence…

Plucky Sun journalist Tim Spanton set off last Wednesday on a 66-day walk to the World Cup finals. The Sun hopes his 473-mile 'Route 66' journey will 'inspire David Beckham and the rest of the England team to go all the way'. Hmm, not sure if Becks and co will be aware of poor Tim as they pass him overhead in their first-class seats at 35,000ft, but you have to admire the paper's eye for a neat idea.

If you want to send Tim an email, you can reach him here. Or check out his Myspace page.
